Satellite Internet Modems
iDirect Modems for Satellite Internet
The iDirect powered Mobilsat Enterprise VSAT network platform is designed specifically to deliver all the benefits of traditional high-speed IP networking beyond the constraints of the wired world. As a pure end-to-end IP solution, Mobilsat Enterprise VSAT network offers our customers the tools, solutions, and expertise necessary to enable the enterprise applications that increase profit potential, improve efficiency and advance their competitive situation.
Available iDirect Velocity Modems
iDirect Velocity™, satellite operators are able to deploy a single, modular and scalable platform capable of supporting a range of terminals. This platform is designed specifically around the unique attributes of HTS spot-beam architecture and helps support the ability to offer fully or partially managed services on a large scale. With this, satellite operators can quickly address market requirements for fixed and mobile applications with maximum flexibility and the lowest level of risk.
Available iDirect Evolution Satellite Modems
iDirect’s Evolution modems support DVB-S2 with Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM), a bandwidth-efficient technology for networks with larger outbound capacity requirements. iDirect’s DVB-S2 was designed and developed around IP and uses extremely efficient encapsulation techniques that deliver speeds up to 149 Mbps.
With fast downloads and fast uploads coupled with this solution’s lower latency (550ms-650ms), the Mobilsat Enterprise VSAT network solution performs more like a T-1 than a satellite connection. By using a native IP solution, you’ll save 10-50% capacity versus an inefficient DVB MPEG Encapsulation scheme. The extremely rapid bandwidth on demand system ensures the highest efficiency of capacity utilization. MF-TDMA, D-TDMA is 98% payload efficient. With increased bandwidth efficiency, the iDirect platform can support more applications and carry more traffic over your available bandwidth. The Deterministic TDMA network architecture (D-TDMA) algorithm allocates bandwidth among multiple remote sites, based on criteria such as the queued depth at each remote site, the CIR (Committed Information Rate) configuration, Quality of Service (QoS), and prioritization requirements. The Mobilsat Enterprise VSAT network support some of the highest TCP/IP throughputs in the industry, with standard service plans up to 10 Mbps downstream and 4 Mbps upstream. Dedicated bandwidth is also available.
