They are also suitable for users requiring higher bandwidth to enable applications such as live broadcasting.
Unlike other satellite Internet services which require bulky and heavy satellite dishes to connect, a BGAN terminal is about the size of a laptop computer and is very easily carried by the user. The BGAN network is provided by Inmarsat and uses three geostationary satellites to provide near global coverage.
