With
fast downloads and fast uploads coupled with this solution's lower
latency (550ms-650ms),
the Mobilsat Enterprise VSAT network solution performs more like
a T-1 than a satellite connection.
By
using a native IP solution, you’ll save 10-50% capacity
versus an inefficient DVB MPEG Encapsulation scheme. The extremely
rapid bandwidth on demand system ensures the highest efficiency
of capacity utilization. MF-TDMA, D-TDMA is 98% payload efficient.
With
increased Bandwidth Efficiency, the iDirect hardware can support
more applications and carry more traffic over your available bandwidth.
The Deterministic TDMA network architecture (D-TDMA) algorithm
allocates bandwidth among multiple remote sites, based on criteria
such as the queued depth at each remote site, the CIR (Committed
Information Rate) configuration, Quality of Service (QoS) and
prioritization requirements.
The
Mobilsat Enterprise VSAT network support the some of the highest
TCP/IP throughputs in the industry, with standard service plans
up to 2 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream. dedicated bandwidth
is available up to 12Mbps x 12Mbps.

Applications and CIR |
| Mobilsat
ISP service is designed to provide access to the public
Internet, primarily for web browsing and email. Certain
applications like VoIP, teleconferencing and streaming media
are designed to use a constant amount of bandwidth. As a
result, they consume more network resources than normal
Internet access. By purchasing a minimum CIR (Committed
Information Rate) in addition to the standard bandwidth,
you will insure the highest quality when using these applications.
Regular or excessive use of these applications without CIR
is a violation of the Terms of Service, and may result in
additional charges. CIR is $5/per Kbps. |

Dish Sizes
Minimum dish size and BUC size depends upon
the geographic location, and the service plan desired.
Standard Fixed Dish sizes -
1.2 meter or 1.8 meter
Standard Mobile Dish sizes -
.98 meter or 1.2 meter
Standard BUC size - 2Watt
BUC or 4Watt BUC.
(BUC sizes available up to 150Watt)
Professional Installation
Mobil Satellite Technologies manages the installation
process for you, starting with the assignment of an experienced
Mobilsat installation coordinator. Your installation coordinator
will arrange for shipment of the equipment to the installation
location, and coordinate your preferred date and time for the
installation technician to arrive onsite and perform the professional
installation. All technicians are certified satellite installers,
and carry a minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance.
